Summer is just around the corner... or so I hope and that usually means, BBQs, pool parties, beaches, bike rides and yes Bonfires.
I used to enjoy bonfires growing up, even making smores... yum... the thing I hated MOST about bonfires however, was the way your hair would smell after. It was as if you were stuck in a burning house for 3 days straight!... (okay, okay, I'm obviously exaggerating but you get my point.)
The worst thing is to soak yourself in perfume... please please PLEASE people save us from the overly potant smells of your musky or fruity scents. Don't get me wrong, I am a perfume fiend, I can walk out of the house in sweats, but I won't feel good if I don't smell the part. But, like the old saying goes, "Spritz, walk in and walk away." That's just the right amount.
So here is the solution in a snap that won't require you to step away from that cutie you've been eying all night and having to risk ruining your look.
Persephenie Linden Blossom Oil!
Here's the trick:Put a drop or two of the oil in your hands and emulsify. Spread into a section of your hair. Take a flat iron (and if you don't have that handy, massage it only in the ends and in the scalp) and gently pull it through to seal the oil into your cuticle. This will replace smell of smoke and replace it with a earthy and refreshing scent. Viola!!
Now don't put bonfires, smores and beach parties off your list... there is a silver lining in every cloud. =)
