Ole Henriksen Balances the "F" out of my FACE

Hi Loves-

It's true... I am back.

I won't lie- I was a bit hesitant to revive this blog. Reason A- I believe Bloggers, these days, are getting WAY too much credit for what they "do". I feel that social media has given us a platform to post/say, do, etc everything we want.. which is good.. but also it has given most people a platform to get gifted items, travel the world and attend the hottest shows only because of the amount of followers they have.

I began my blogging "career" and I say that lightly because I did not make a career out of it - but I started because I wanted to be a writer.. I wanted to research, learn and experience fashion and report back in a very educated way. I attended college to be a journalist and then attended Fashion School so I can use the correct verbiage when writing.

But all in all - I am back because I don't really care who listens.. as long as I am writing.

SOOOOOOOOO without further ado - I recently used the new Ole Henriksen Balancing line that I received from Influenster. I am OBSESSED with skincare.. to the extent that if I could go back in time I would go back to college to earn a degree in Dermatology.

The older you get the more attention you give to your skin.. I want to look 30 forever.. seriously. So thankfully I was one of the few that received this voxbox that contained: Find Your Balance Oil Control Cleanser, Toner and Hydrator.

I AM LITERALLY IN LOVE! It gives your skin the right amount of clean without stripping the essential oils. It is a must try and I would not just say that.

The Cleanser alone - I wanted to keep washing my face - it made my skin feel fresh and completely hydrated.

The Toner- smelled and made my skin feel cool, calm and light. I didn't want to mess up that feeling with makeup.. so I didn't :).

The Hydrator - now that was new to me... not a bad new.. an interesting new. I never thought oil would balance an already oily complexion.. but boy was I wrong.. it actually delivers enough oil that it doesn't create excessive.

All in all - this is definitely a must and should be on your beauty HIT LIST!

xoxo,

The RESURRECTION of ICB by Prabal Gurung

Last night (Wednesday August 15th) Barneys New York hosted a fun-filled event launching, or re-launching, a new line ICB by Prabal Gurung, that will be available this fall exclusively online and at select Barneys stores.

The night was hosted by Barneys Coop Chelsea and some well known bloggers, (Hannah Bronfman (

ICB, a line popular in Japan and Asia, is making it's U.S. comeback with designer extraordinaire Prabal Gurung, this fall.

The line has not been available in the U.S. since early 2000, when it was collaborated by another designer Michael Kors. The new collection, is without a doubt Prabal-esque, with his signature prints, paneled construction features and unbelievable fabrics with a budget friendly price tag.

When asked why he created this collection with ICB, the designer said, "For the opportunity to create a collection that would be accessible to a different audience, and also for their excellent mills and factories that enabled me to create great quality pieces at a very affordable price point."
We think he did a great job. I will let you all be the judge, what do you think?

Rag & Bone New York LONDON!

'Tis true! My favorite Denim line (well clothing line in general) are opening their first European Flagship store in LONDON!

The new location will be in Sloane Square and I am super hyped! The brand has been around for 10 years but they are just jumping on the "AD" bandwagon (finally) and who else to be the face of the brand than London's own Kate Moss?

The Ads will be appearing in the September issues of Vogue and other publications.

I'm super excited... are you?

Architecture + Shoes = GENIUS!

Architecture is a beautiful thing. Creating lavish and intricate buildings, is probably the first thing you think of when you hear the word Architecture. But Architecture is involved in almost everything that is unique built, designed, drawn, etc.

Maybe this lesson comes from my sisters who are both Architecture majors, or maybe it's the understanding from my years in a Fashion background, regardless Architects are responsible for more than just designing homes.

Talk shoes, for instance. United Nude, a design company specializing in high heels, was founded by Rem D Koolhaas and Galahad Clark.

Koolhaas is also the Creative Director and ironically a Dutch architect trained at the Technical University of Delft in Holland. Cool right? So for all you design enthusiast, architects can pretty much do anything.

Clark, is a seventh generation shoemaker from England. His family founded the Clarks brand founded in 1825! So he absolutely has the shoe-making gene in his blood.

Check out their incredible shoes on their website (www.unitednude.com) or their many retailers, which can be found in over 40 countries. One flagship is located in New York, so you can beat I will be spending a pretty penny there soon, especially the one below ;).

The Hit- List's Best Dressed at the 2012 Golden Globes

The Hit- List is proud to announce their winner for tonight's Best Dressed Winner for the Golden Globes. I won't lie, it was a hard decision. Not just because there were so many people dressed fabulously, but because some of the dresses, in my opinion, we're hot messes... or in a way, redundant.

With that said, The Winner is...

Salma Hayek

The star wowed the red carpet in a stunning, art deco feel, Gucci number. Her amazing hair and simple accessories made her look glamorous without trying TOO hard.

Congrats Salma!
