"Say bye bye to all them groupies and gold… polish?"
Polish?? Can someone get me a dictionary?… Regular lacquer has become a thing of the past, thanks to the new gel manicures and NOW Minx Nails. Even the "revolutionary" jeweled nails are a thing of the yester-year.
You can thank, Ms. Beyonce for this new trend. Ever since she sported the gold chrome version in her "Single Ladies" video, consumers have been searching within their local nail salons to get the look and jump on the bandwagon.
Minx are made of a flexible polymer (film) that is applied to the nails like a sticker, that lasts anywhere from 4-6 weeks! Incredible and quite brilliant. This service ranges from $50 and up for the no mess, no chemical, 30 minute application. Whatever your hearts desire, you can get. I'm talking, celebrities faces, YOUR FACE, symbols, animal print… etc.
You know this is something that will be HUGE especially over the summer. Who wouldn't want a perfect pedicure in a shade or print that match those new, peep toe, Stella McCartney wedges ;-).….But of course, you know I didn’t stop my research there. Though, Minx nails have been around for a few years, but are just being talked about doesn't mean, there isn't some other or very similar product being made, for more than 50% cheaper.
I've always said, "Shop around for a better price." Though, I'm not advocating you support knock offs or fakes and I would NEVER suggest you go cheap when you're getting any cosmetic work done. BUT, with manis and pedis... cheaper is ALWAYS better, especially if it only lasts a few weeks.
Sephora and OPI have done it again. They have teamed up and created a DIY version of Minx Nails, called 'Sephora by OPI Chic Print for Nails.' For $15 dollars and 16 patches of Minx Nail Film, you can’t go wrong.
